How YObykes (EV’s) runs?

On turning the power key, the power is turn ON. If sends power to all electric components like Accelerator, Motor, Controller, etc. On twisting the Accelerator signals go to Controller & the Motor. The vehicle moves and the speed is controlled by the twisting and detwisting the Accelerator.

What is Motor?

-	YObykes are fitted with Brushless Hub Motor.
-	This is a permanent magnet DC Motor with brushes replaced by rotor position sensors and semiconductor switches.
-	As this Motor is placed directly in the wheel, smooth torque is obtained.
-	Wear & tear and fictional losses are minimized. Motors are rated in terms of voltage and power output in Watts.

What is Battery?

-	Battery pack is like fuel tank of YObykes. YObykes are provided with deep discharge VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) Batteries.
-	These are sealed Batteries which don’t require any water to be filled up. Battery packs are rated in volts (V) (typically multiplies of 6V, 12 V and Ampere-hours (AH) of energy.
-	Ampere-hour (AH) rating of Battery determines the storage capacity of chare.
-	Advanced high energy density, quick charging “Weaver α” Batteries have also been introduced recently, which takes only 4-5 hr for full charging. Presently, this Battery is available with only YOExl ER model.

What is Controller?

-	The Controller, the ‘brain’ of YObykes (E2V) provides electric power to the Motor based on inputs from the Accelerator.
-	Controllers are rated in voltage and maximum current and are matched with current rating of Motor. Our Controllers are provided with overload protection.

What is Accelerator?

-	Similar to petrol vehicles, the Accelerator of YObykes controls the speed.
-	It sends electronic signals to the electronic Controller to precisely and smoothly change and control the speed.

What is Battery Charger?

-	The function of Battery Charger is to charge the Battery as and when required. Chargers are rated in voltage and output DC current.
-	The charger converts domestic AC supply to DC to charge the Battery. This Charger can be used with any normal domestic AC socket point. This makes charging of Battery pack easy and convenient.
	The Charger provided with the YObykes is designed to avoid overcharging. As a precaution – don’t expose Charger to rain or moisture, switch on the main current only after plugging both the side of the Charger, check and ensure that the small cooling fan of the Charger is working during the charging.

When should I charge the Batteries?

All the YObykes are provided with the Battery charge indicator in dashboard. The Batteries should be charged according to the indication of the charge left. As soon as indicator shows nearer to low charge indication, Batteries must be charged.

What is the Charging time? How much electricity Battery charging consumes?

For completely discharged Batteries, 6-8 hours are required to charge the Batteries. Electric consumption is shown below.

Will it affect the Batteries if Charger is ON even after charging is over?

-	The Chargers provided along with all the YObykes are specially designed intelligent Chargers. They do not allow Batteries to get overcharged.
-	Thus even if Charger remains ON after the charging is over, it will not affect Battery life.

What is the effect on the Batteries if the Battery pack is left for days without charge?

-	Leaving the Batteries in discharged condition for any period will affect the Battery life. It is advisable to recharge Batteries regularly.
-	When leaving for outstation, recharge the Batteries to full. On return, recharge the Batteries before driving the vehicle.

Are the Batteries detachable?

Yes. But, Batteries are heavy & are not recommended to be taken out

Is it safe to leave Battery pack in the vehicle itself while packing?

Yes, Battery pack has been provided with lock facility

Can I use any other make of Batteries for YObykes?

-	No not at all. YObykes Batteries are specially designed. Use of any other make of Batteries is not permitted.
-	The company will not be responsible for the performance/damage and warranty claims of the YOspeed.

Are YObykes safe in rainy season?

-	YObykes can be used in rainy season without any problem.
-	The Batteries, Motor, Controller, wiring etc are made water proof and tested extensively. However the care should be taken to avoid getting submerged in water

Can we wash these vehicles?

-	Yes, you can easily wash these vehicles. However, pressurized water is not recommended.
-	Before starting the vehicle, after wash, the vehicle should be in a dry condition.

-	Yes, spare parts are easily available with all authorized Dealership (Known as YOWorld).

Tell me about Batteries?

-	We use rechargeable sealed valve regulated lead acid Batteries of different capacities for different models. Water addition is not required.
-	These are economical, normally long lasting, with life of about 20,000 kms. These are suitably inter connected (in series) and protected.
-	We provide detailed guidance to customers for Recharging, usage and testing to maximize the Battery life. These briefly are: - Recharge the Battery when about half discharged. - Discharge the Battery completely once in a month. - Always use Electrotherm supplied / approved Charger.
